Trophy Hunting Gilgit Baltistan 2026 2027 Tender Notice

Government of Gilgit-Baltistan Parks & Wildlife Department invites open bids for trophy hunting permits of Astore Markhor, Blue Sheep and Himalayan Ibex for the 2026-2027 hunting season. The auction will be held on September 10, 2026 at 10:30 AM at the Conference Hall of Forest Complex Jutial, Gilgit. Trophy hunting shall be conducted under the GB Trophy Hunting Guidelines 2019, with the hunting season from October 15, 2026 to April 10, 2027. The offered quota includes Astore Markhor, Blue Sheep and Himalayan Ibex in exportable and non-exportable categories. Reserved prices, call deposits and license fees vary by species, category and designated Conservancy/CCHA. Interested companies, authorized agents and outfitters must be registered with the Parks & Wildlife Department, while individual hunters may participate under the non-exportable category. Call deposits must be deposited against each trophy before participation. Successful bidders must deposit the trophy hunting permit fee and other dues within one month after the auction, failing which the earnest money/call deposit may be forfeited and the permit offered to the next qualifying bidder. Outfitters/companies must register with the Department, with registration valid for three years. The bidding outcome is conditional upon quota allocation by the CITES Management Authority.
