Description

Extraction and export of Kachhi on lump-sum royalty basis from the Muzaffarabad, Jhelum Valley and Hattian divisions, with the contract valid until 31 October 2026. Only Class A registered Forest Department contractors who have deposited the renewal fee for the current financial year are eligible. The procurement will follow the Single Stage Single Envelope procedure. Tenders must be submitted on the prescribed form obtained from the office against a non-refundable fee. A Call Deposit of Rs. 100000/- from any Scheduled Bank as bid security must accompany the tender in favour of the Divisional Forest Officer. The successful bidder must deposit the royalty amount along with applicable taxes within seven days of approval of the contract and execute an agreement with the department, failing which the contract may be cancelled and the bid security confiscated. The department will not be responsible if the quantity of Kachhi available for export is less than the quantity against which royalty has been deposited. Ambiguous or conditional tenders will not be accepted. After approval and payment of royalty, the contractor must obtain Forms 24/25 from the department for transportation of Kachhi; transportation without these forms may result in confiscation. The contractor must provide a list of representatives to the office and concerned forest officers and must pay all government taxes, including any additional taxes imposed during the contract period.
