Description

Procurement of books for Medical and Pharmacy disciplines from pre-qualified firms, booksellers and publishers for financial year 2026-27. The estimated procurement cost is Rs. 31,589,378 and bid security is Rs. 631,788, equivalent to 2% of the estimated procurement value. Bid validity is 120 days. Books are to be delivered to the university library on DDP, Duty Delivered Paid, basis according to the detailed technical specifications. Procurement will follow the single-stage, one-envelope procedure on least-item-cost basis with priority for the latest edition and year of printing. Eligible bidders must be registered with Income Tax and Sales Tax Departments and on the Punjab e-Procurement System. Electronic bids must be duly completed, signed and stamped and accompanied by the required electronic bid security and affidavit in accordance with the bidding documents. The original affidavit, clearly marked with the bidding document details, must be delivered to the office of the Director Purchase before the submission deadline, otherwise the bid will be rejected. Bid security must be submitted electronically through the Punjab e-Procurement System in the prescribed manner; physical CDRs, pay orders and bank guarantees will not be accepted. If the scheduled submission date falls on an official closed day or holiday, submission and opening will take place on the next working day at the same time.
