Auction of unserviceable and irreparable university items on an As Is Where Is basis, comprising used answer sheets and paper waste, iron scrap and miscellaneous iron items, frames, hardware and IT equipment including computers, photocopy machines, monitors, LCDs and keyboards, batteries, mobil oil, tyres, scrap refrigerators, freezers and air conditioners, and scrap plastic items, plasticware and chairs. Approximate reserved prices or weights are specified by category as follows: used answer sheets 60, iron scrap 110, hardware and IT items 70, batteries 230, mobil oil 92 litres, tyres 65, scrap refrigerators and air conditioners 120, and scrap plastic items 60. Auction participants must be active income tax and GST payers. Interested bidders may participate for individual items or all categories by submitting sealed proposals. Bidding documents are available from the Secretary Auction Committee (DP&IC) one day before the auction upon payment of a non-refundable tender fee of Rs.1,000 and submission of the application proforma with CNIC, NTN and GST certificates. Sealed proposals must be submitted by 11:30 AM on the auction date. Earnest money or bid security of Rs.100,000 must accompany the bid in the form of CDR, bank draft or bank guarantee in favour of the Treasurer, Government College University Faisalabad. Earnest money will be refunded to unsuccessful bidders. Government-approved withholding tax rates for filers and non-filers will be charged in addition to the bid price. Successful bidders must deposit 50% of the total bid amount on the same day, excluding earnest money, and collect the auctioned items within the stipulated period. Failure to collect the items will result in cancellation of the offer and forfeiture of earnest money. The successful bidder for solved answer sheets must sell them directly to a paper mill and submit an affidavit on stamp paper to the university, failing which earnest money will be forfeited. University employees and their relatives are not eligible to participate. Auctionable goods may be inspected at university campuses during official working hours.
